September 2026 Product Updates
September is all about sharpening operational precision and giving you total control over your shop’s data. With powerful tools to merge duplicate inventory items, pre-made Subscription Plans for faster checkouts, and a fresh wave of granular permission controls, running a clean, secure repair business has never been easier.
Key Highlights:
Merge Products

Buying the same part from multiple suppliers, e.g., MobileSentrix, Injured Gadgets, Phone LCD Parts, usually leaves you with duplicate SKUs and a bloated product catalog in RepairDesk.
With the ability to merge existing inventory items, you can now consolidate duplicates into a single in-house SKU without losing any historical data.
Here's what you can do:
- Select the duplicate SKUs directly from your Products list
- Pick the surviving product that should keep the final record details
- Roll on-hand quantities from every duplicate into one consolidated total automatically
- Edit supplier, name, and other details on the fly before finalizing
- Preview the merged record before anything is committed, so nothing gets merged by mistake
Works for both General Inventory and Serialized Inventory, across all your locations.

Sell subscriptions using plans

- A streamlined way to create, manage, and sell pre-configured recurring billing templates across your shop.
- Eliminates manual data entry, reduces setup mistakes, and dramatically speeds up subscription sign-up at checkout.
How it works:
- Build a plan by pre-defining the billing schedule, products, services, and payment method.
- Create a subscription directly from the POS (Customer -> Actions -> Sell Subscription), or the Subscription Listing page.
- Select the pre-made plan, fill in any missing customer details, and you’re good to go.
Subscription Module New Updates:
We have also added the following new updates to the subscription module:
-
Tax-Exclusive vs. Tax-Inclusive Subscription Plans
Subscription plan pricing now automatically adapts to your store’s tax settings across POS and Subscription flows, and adds dedicated tax breakdown columns in listings, helping your staff quote accurate pre-tax or post-tax prices without calculation confusion.
-
Manual Subscription Cancellation Notification
Store owners can now enable a customizable email notification trigger under store settings, which automatically sends a tailored email to customers the moment their subscription is manually canceled so they stay informed and support queries are reduced. You can go to Store Settings > Sales > Subscriptions - Recurring Billing > Notifications > Enable Notification "Email when subscription is manually cancelled"

What’s New:
-
Prevent Un-serialized Stock for Serialized Products
A new system-wide rule forces users to add or select valid serial numbers whenever stock is increased or sold across Point of Sale, Tickets, Invoices, GRN, Counts, Transfers, and RMA, ensuring on-hand inventory counts always perfectly match your physical serial numbers.
You can manage the setting from Store Settings > Inventory > Allow un-serialized stock for serialized products
-
Restrict Manual Entry in RepairDesk Forms
RepairDesk Forms can now stop users from manually adding categories, brands, or models. When "Show Search Bar" is enabled on the Repair Categories, Brands, or Models step, a new "Allow Manual Entry" toggle appears directly below it. Turn it off, and users can only select from your existing device and model list, keeping device data clean and consistent across your account.
-
Smarter Address Auto-Fill on Create Customer
The "Auto-fill City, State, Country & Postcode from Store Address" option in the Create New Customer pop-up now includes the postcode, so the full address is populated from your store settings in one step. The checkbox also remembers its state, so you don't need to re-check it every time you add a customer.
-
Filter Products by Shopify & WooCommerce Sync Status
The Products Listing page now lets you filter products by their Shopify and WooCommerce sync status. Two new options, "Synced with Shopify" and "Synced with WooCommerce," are available in the Criteria dropdown, each with a Yes/No selection to show only synced or unsynced products. Identify and manage products by sync status at a glance, even across large catalogs.
-
Permission to Show/Hide Inventory Stats
A new "Show Inventory Stats" permission under Roles, Access & Permissions → Inventory controls who can see the inventory statistics, including Total Stock Retail Value and Total Cost Value at the top of the Product Listing page. Enable it for the roles that should see this data and disable it for those that shouldn't, keeping sensitive financials limited to authorized staff. The permission is enabled by default, so nothing changes until you adjust it.
-
Repair Category Macro for Ticket Labels
A new 'repair_category_tree' macro in the ticket label editor prints the full repair category hierarchy assigned to a ticket, in the format:
- Category -> Sub-category 1 -> Sub-category 2
Add it to your label template and staff can identify the repair type at a glance, straight from the printed label. If a ticket has only a general category, it shows just that, and if none is assigned, the macro renders empty without breaking the layout.
-
Filter Tickets by Days Since Last Update
A new "Days Since Last Update" filter in the Advanced Filter dropdown on the Tickets Listing page surfaces tickets by how long they've been inactive. Enter any number of days to display only tickets that have gone that many days or more without an update, so stale jobs are easy to spot and prioritize before they're overlooked.
-
Bulk Update Commissions for Bill Payment Services
Commissions for bill payment services can now be updated in bulk through import/export. The file exported from Inventory → Bill Payments includes two new columns, Commission Type and Commission Value, pre-filled with each plan's current values; edit them and re-import to apply changes across all your plans at once. The same columns appear in the import sample file and in the Mapping and Overview steps, so you can review commission changes before confirming. Reward employees for these services without editing hundreds of plans one by one.
-
Cash Register Changes in the Employee Activity Log
Configuration changes made in the Cash Register module (Store Settings > Sale > Cash Register) are now recorded in the Employee Activity Log Report. Every change, across the Registers, Cash Drawer, Configurations, and Notifications tabs, plus enabling or disabling the module itself, is captured with the employee's name, timestamp, IP, and the before-and-after values. Register activity appears alongside your other logged actions and can be isolated using the Action filter, so you can audit who changed what and when.
-
Granular Stock Adjustment Permissions
The single "Adjust Stock" permission is now split into three independent permissions under Roles, Access and Permissions > Permissions > Inventory: Increase Stock, Decrease Stock, and Revaluate Cost. Grant each one separately, so you can let staff add stock without exposing quantities to reductions or cost changes. The Inventory Adjustment popup only shows the adjustment types an employee is permitted to use, and this applies everywhere stock can be adjusted. All three are enabled by default where Adjust Stock was already on, so current behavior stays intact until you change it.
-
Dedicated Additional Notes Macro for Service Receipts
A new additional_notes macro is available in the Available tags list of the Service Receipt Perforated template editor. Insert it anywhere in your layout, independently of the line item table, and it populates each line item's additional notes as the receipt iterates, giving you full control over where those notes appear. Existing templates are unaffected until you add the macro.
-
Require Product Notes Before Point of Sale Checkout
A new "Require product notes at checkout" trigger under Store Settings > Point of Sale (Roles and Permissions section) requires a note for every product before a sale can be completed. When enabled, checkout is blocked until each product in the cart has a note, and the Add Note button turns red on any product that's missing one. Make sure critical product details are captured consistently and never lost after the sale. The trigger is disabled by default and applies only to Products.
-
Payment Received Date in Manage Invoices
You can add a new "Payment Received Date" column to the Manage Invoices listing from the gear icon. It shows the date the latest payment was received for each invoice, so fully paid tickets that are ready to work on are easy to spot without opening each one. The column is hidden by default, appears after the Due Date column once added, and is included in your PDF and Excel exports.
-
Date Range on the Tax Report PDF
The Tax Report PDF now displays the date range it covers, shown just below the report title. When you export from Reports > Tax Report, the selected date range appears in the format Report Date: <start_date> - <end_date>, so the reporting period is clear at a glance when reviewing or sharing the file. If no date filter is applied, it shows the date range from the first to the last invoice in the exported data.
-
Keep GRN & Purchase Order Changes After a Screen Lock
In-progress work on the Create/Edit PO and Create GRN screens is now retained when the screen locks for inactivity and you unlock it with your access PIN. On PO pages, entered ordered quantities are preserved across all line items; on the GRN page, the added PO along with its pulled-in selections and received quantities is kept intact. Step away without losing completed work or re-entering data after unlocking.
